Old Fashion Pound Cake

1 lb. butter
2 tbsp. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. Swans Down flour, sifted
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. lemon extract


Ingredients should be room temperature before mixing. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until completely blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Add flour after mixing eggs. Beat until all ingredients are mixed together then add whipping cream and extract. Cake should be placed in a greased tube pan and cooked for 90 minutes at 350 degrees. Cake is done when a toothpick inserted in center comes out with no crumbs on it.
