Old Fashioned Bread Pudding

2 c. milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. soft bread cubes
1/2 c. raisins
1 tbsp. butter


Combine milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in 1 1/2 quart glass casserole; beat with rotary beater. Stir in bread cubes and raisins. Dot with butter. Microwave 26-28 minutes on medium (simmer) or until almost set in center. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 4-6 servings.
