Maple Bran Muffins

3/4 c. real maple syrup
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. bran
1 c. sour cream
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl beat syrup and eggs. Mix in bran and let stand 5 minutes. Beat in sour cream with a wooden spoon. Stir in remaining ingredients. Batter will be lumpy. Spoon into UNGREASED pans. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
