Apple Chutney

5 apples, cored and diced
2 med. red or green tomatoes, diced
1 sm. onion, diced
1 sm. green pepper, diced
1 sm. red pepper, diced
1/2 c. golden raisins
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
1 1/2 c. apple cider
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves


Combine all ingredients in large, heavy saucepan or kettle. Simmer uncovered, about 45 minutes stirring frequently until thick. Cool. Refrigerate until chilled. Makes 2 to 3 quarts.
