12 tart unpeeled apples, chopped
3 red sweet peppers, slivered
1 lb. raisins
2 c. sugar
2 c. vinegar
1 c. shaved ginger, fresh
Peel of 2 oranges and 2 lemons, chopped (add juice also)
1 tbsp. each: cinnamon, allspice, cloves
1/2 bulb chopped fresh garlic
Stew everything until apples are soft. Put in hot, sterile jars. Boil, seal 15 minutes. Makes approximately 7 pints.
