Curry In A Hurry

2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 Tbsp. curry powder
3 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 envelope golden onion soup mix
1 (16 oz.) package frozen Shrimp, thawed
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/3 cup chutney


In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Add green pepper, curry, flour and red pepper. Stir constantly 1 minute. Blend in milk, water and soup mix. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add Shrimp, peas and chutney. Simmer until heated through. Serve with white rice. Extra condiments can include peanuts, coconut, raisins and extra chutney.
