Buttermilk Salad Dressing Mix
2 1/4 c Buttermilk powder
3/4 c Freeze-dried chives
1/4 c Dill weed
1/4 c Sugar
2 tb Dry mustard
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Transfer
to a 1-quart jar, cover tightly, and store in the refrigerator. Makes
2/3 cups mix.
TO MAKE BUTTERMILK DRESSING: In a small bowl, whisk together 5
tablespoons of the buttermilk salad dressing mix, 1/2 cup warm water,
2 tablespoons cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of sour cream. Let
stand at room temperature at least 30 minutes before using, then
whisk again for a few seconds. Makes about 1 cup.
