Carambola Chutney

2 c Carambola (star fruit) cubed (3/4 lb)
1/4 c Sugar
1/2 c Dry red wine
1 tb Ginger, peeled finely chopped
1/4 ts Ground cloves
2 tb White wine vinegar


Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan and stir well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook for 25 minutes or until slightly thickened.
